The Elephant Skid is a heavy-duty recycled rubber skid designed for industrial logistics where very high load capacity, simplicity, and robustness are critical. Optimised for two-way entry applications, it delivers exceptional strength under heavy, evenly spread loads while retaining a straightforward, serviceable skid format.
Built around a modular stringer and plank configuration, the Elephant Skid can be tailored precisely to the load it carries. Three primary stringers support a configurable arrangement of deck planks or runners, allowing the skid to be specified with light, medium, heavy, or extra-heavy components depending on operational requirements. For the most demanding applications, additional base planks can be incorporated to increase rigidity and improve load distribution.
Manufactured from post-consumer and post-industrial recycled tyre rubber bonded with accredited polyurethane agents, the Elephant Skid offers long service life, excellent shock absorption, and resistance to moisture, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Steel reinforcement inserts can be integrated where required to further enhance structural performance under sustained and repetitive loading.
By diverting waste tyres from landfill and reducing reliance on virgin materials, the Elephant Skid combines extreme load capability with strong environmental credentials, making it well suited to closed-loop, high-mass logistics operations.
